After carefully listening to what we were looking for, Vel made suggestions for the perfect location for our family pictures. She saw in her minds eye exactly what my wife and I were describing. 

We have a special needs son that is not one to look at a camera, ever. Vel took on this challenge with the help of her assistant for the day, her daughter. It was touching to see the bond between mother and daughter on display. Not only was she able to capture amazing images of our son and daughter, both alone and together, she got images of him smiling! She hit great shots of all of us and we couldn't be happier with the pictures. 

The most impressive part of our shoot was that we never felt rushed, or posed in any way. She kept us all comfortable and relaxed which really came through in the wonderful photographs that were produced. Vel uses natural light, and elements to frame her subjects and caught some great candid shots of the kids as well as my wife and I alone too. (Laughing together at each other as we often do). God blessed us with getting know the Tovilla family and blessed Vel with the talent she has shown through the camera lens.

An acquaintance from church (Tammy Ward) posted photos on Facebook that Vel took of her family.  I loved the way she captured the joy and personality of their family in the photos.  I knew instantly that I wanted to contact her for taking family photos to use as Christmas gifts for my parents.  I didn't have much time to get things lined up in order to meet the Christmas deadline, but Vel made the process very easy and was very accommodating with our schedules.  She even met us early on a Sunday morning because that was the one day that my sister's family's and my family's schedules aligned!  She wasn't familiar with the location we chose, but did her research beforehand to ensure all necessary permits were in place.  While on location, she took many shots in various locations.  She offered suggestions to help capture us in a relaxed fashion rather than appearing posed and stuffy.  The turnaround time to receive the proofs was very quick and there were many good shots to choose from.  The order process was quite simple and the photos were received very quickly.  Their quality was great!  Overall an excellent experience from start to finish!  I would highly recommend In Your Image Photography's services and use Vel again...especially if I get married some day!  :)  :)  - Michele P.
