Having already honed her craft through her videography work with Joni and Friends, she has proven she possesses a rare gift for capturing the very heart of a story. Her unwavering love for Jesus is the intentional lens through which she views the world, adding a beautiful layer of depth to every frame she touches. It is beyond exciting that she’s officially headed off to film school, where I know she’ll infuse the industry with her signature wit, her faith, and a genuine touch of movie magic.

Not only was it plastered with bursts and splashes of brightly neon-colored powdered cornstarch all over every runner, but our picture made it to the cover of a national magazine!!! It doesn’t matter that it’s not a bridal magazine or a parenting one, but the fact is, we got published!!! And for that, we are truly grateful!

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of working with a great family and this amazing little boy! Not only is he so adorable, he is one of the brightest kids I've ever met! He's very sweet and gentle, and just by looking at his pictures, you'd never guess he has autism! I believe it was a challenge, not for him, but for me, as I was challenged to exercise patience and creativity in capturing his essence! With that said, it's never just about saying "cheese!"

When it comes to blogging though, that's a whole other ballpark for me, otherwise I would've been a writer. Most of the time I don't know what to say, so don't judge. This small blog will probably be all over the place. :) I recently saw one of those ecards that said a woman's mind is like having a thousand tabs open on your computer, and that's exactly how mine works! lol

Let's start by introducing myself. My name is Velkyz. I'm married to a wonderful man of God, who also happens to be my best friend. :) We have four amazingly silly kiddos, who will not bore you EVER! I love being a mom more than anything. I find incredible how a little person who knows nothing about life knows just the essential and can have such an enormous heart filled with so much love. And that's the true meaning of life! ...LOVE!
Other things about me: I love coffee! (with creamer of course!) If you do too, let's hang out! I'm pretty quiet, used to be extremely shy, still so, but not as much. I grew up without a computer; didn't have one 'til I was 21 - yes, I would go to my neighbor's house to type up my college papers! lol

From here on out, I hope that through my blog you can be able to connect with me and get a better sense of who I am and what it would be like to be around me.
